Low Memory

I was using Access 97 with 256K of ram with no problems. I recently
increased the ram 3x's. Now I am receiveing an error message when I tried to
start Access. The error is that I am out of memory, remove any programs that
are loaded and retry. How can I now be out of memory. What can I do?

Hi Francis,

Install the latest update to the JET database engine. This should take care
of the problem for you.

it's amazing that you can run access on 758 (not to mention 256) kilobytes
of RAM though

but seriously,

It has a tremendous impact on Access performance if you obtain a modern day
RAM-drive & set up your temp directory to reside in RAM (especially if using
transactions)
