Low Color Quality on Windows 2003 Terminal Services Client

When I connect to a Windows 2003 Server running Terminal Services in
Remote Administration mode the color quality is low (8 bit). There
doesn't seem to be a way to change it. Is this the highest quality
available in this mode?
 
First of all, make sure you are using the latest RDP
client available:

In your RDP client, you should be able to specify what
color depth you want to connect at. Also, in the terminal
services configuration on the Windows 2003 server, you
should be able to specify the maximum color depth you can
connect at.
