Lost Windows completely... help!

I install Bit Defender AV and forgot to uninstall Kaspersky. Then my system
crashed.
On rebooting the bootup reached the part wher the welcome to Windows usually
shows, but it rebooted.
It kept rebooting at the same point.
I decided to do a Repair/reinstall of XP, but when the setup had to reboot,
it got to the same point and just keeps closing and rebooting.
I tried to go into Safe Mode, but I get a message saying that Windows setup
cannot work in Safe Mode and I have to close.
So here I am no system and unable to reinstall XP.
Please help.
Thanks

This could be difficult given you kind of did thing backwards. You should
have tried Safe Mode before you tried the reinstall. I might be wrong and
please correct me if I am but at this point you may have little recourse but
to do a fresh install. I trust you make regular backups of your important
data. If not you should be able to get your important data off the drive by
using UBCD4Win http://www.ubcd4win.com/

Boot from the WinXP CDROM.
