Lost Windows and Outlook & all mail

I lost my windows and had to reinstall full version of W-XP and Outlook 2003.
Is there a way to pull in my old mail since I didn't have it backed up???

I have the same problem - so when I reinstalled XP and Outlook 2003, I
created a different user. I didn' t have to format the disk, so all my
previous data for the "old" account is still there - all the mail, contact
info, etc.

How can I "import" to the new user or recover in some fashion the Outlook
info for the "old " user?

Don't Import, locate the *.pst file move it to your preferred location.Do
NOT overwrite any existing pst. Then in OL File/Open/Data File.
You may have to take 'ownership' of the file.

Depends how you reinstalled windows, and the origonal location of the OL
data file.
Try a simple search, to include hidden, for *.pst
If it locates multiple files you'll have to check their locations to
determine which is the 'old' pst
Once found, in OL File/Open/Data File
No backup? - your bound to lose data at some stage

I tried moving the archive.pst - put the only thing in there was mail that I
had sent....

Where are the contacts stored in addition, to the OL folders? None of that
stuff showed up.

The Contacts folder has no archive settings, since its entries do not age.
If you have a PST that contains archived items, you won't find any contacts
in it, unless you purposefully moved them there.
