I am running XP and somehow I have lost my command 'RUN' and also
'SEARCH'not sure when,or how,Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!!!

Try running system restore and set it to an earlier date, say a week
ago. See if this helps...

For XP Start menu:
Right click the Start menu button,
Choose Properties,
Click on Customize,
Go to Advanced tab,
Scroll Down and Tick "Run Command" && "Search"

Classic Start menu:
Right click Start-Properties-Customize-Tick "Display Run"-OK-OK


If Run command and search is missing from the list, then:
1- Go to "C:\Window\" and double click Regedit.exe
2- Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
3- Delete NoRun and NoFind from right side.
4- Restart explorer.exe
