I don't know why my system restore points are gone, all of them. I was
going to use one because I think I may have gotten a virus/spyware from an
email in my college email account. I don't ever read them and I certainly
don't open attachments. But I did open one because we are doing
presentations in one of my classes and I thought there was information there
about it. Turns out when I opened the email there was nothing in it, and
when I went to delete it I got a message saying it wasn't in there to
delete.
I don't know if this may have caused me to have problems with my System
Restore, but I know I was getting popups from IE (which I don't use but it
is on the computer). I ran a virus and spyware scans and then it was fine,
until I went to shut down. So I tried to restore and now realize I don't
have any, except one for today.
Not sure if I should just reformat or just leave it for now? I haven't
turned off the System Restore, so wasn't sure if I should do that first?
Thanks (sorry so long)
