lost photos

I had to reinstall windows xp home edition.It work well. I have 1 problem. I
had pictures on my hp.Is there any way to retrive them. I didn't take out the
1st. windows that was installed. I just install the 2nd 1. HELP.

What? No backup? If the re-install did not wipe out the HD
partition, then do a search of Documents and Settings for the
profile used in the first install of Windows. If the pictures
are still present, they should be in My Pictures of My Documents.
