I was originally signed in with my original password but I have lost it!
Microsoft sent me a e-mail with an enormus length web name that I was asked
to copy into and send from my browser. I can not do that as I'm using IE 7
that does not have the fersility to paste. I have had to get a MSN e-mail
address to be able to ask this question but I can not recieve a reply because
I dont have a MSN account.
I hope this makes sense to somone. There must be a simple answer to this
problem but I'm not finding it.
I have tried putting the address in by hand but its so complicated I keep
getting it wrong. Help would be appreciated

I have tried putting the address in by hand but its so complicated I keep

Of course it does. CTRL-V

What it doesn't have is the "fersility" to bypass user ignorance.

Well thank you anyway for your help but you you both seem to have a strange attitude to people that know less than yourselves. I think it could put people like myself from asking question, but not me! I just think off you both as a smug pair of old gits! I just take comfort in knowing there is plenty of people on the forum who are happy to help people without trying to make people feel silly. As long s it makes you feel good , who cares?

So you think that both my replies which gave you good advice were couched in
"smug old git" format? well stuff you then.

Nope. But I do have a problem when people who have no clue say things
like IE7 "does not have the fersility [sic] to paste."

People who say stupid things like that - and who can't spell to save
their lives - expose their rear ends for a well-deserved kicking.

Well thank you to both of you for your help. Yes "ctrl+ v" did do the the
trick.
I would have thought, if you are taking the trouble to help someone, it
would not be to difficult to be pleasant with it. I think you should
understand that not everyone is born with your obviously super intelligence.
Sadly its obvious that you were not equally blessed with tollerance of people
less informed than yourselves. If it was not for peopls like me, you would
not be able to sit there feeling so full of your selves

Is English your second language, or didn't you finish high school?

toff - Regarding your statement " ...have a strange attitude to people that

know more than you?

BTW - Uncle Grumpy do you know what (sic) means?

I know I'm not good on the computor but I enjoy using it. I also know that
my spelling is not great. I also know that my inter-personal skills are
streets ahead of yours. I surpose we all are good at some things and bad at
others. You may be clever but you are not very good at being nice to and
tolerant of others. Still your advice did work and I did say thank you for
that, inspite of your nasty sarcastic attitude. Try being nice to others.
There is nothing wrong with being clever and nice. You will feel better for
it in the long run. You could perhaps change your name to " Happy To Help Old
Man"

HI AJR
Well most people know more than me when it comes to the computer and I know
I'm not good at spelling but it doesn't make someone who is, a better person
than me does it. In fact being sarcastic and picking on someones spelling
when they are asking for help is very bad form. I surpose it's the only way
they can get any pleasure, I dont surpose with that kind of attitude they
have any friends. by the way what does "Sic" mean"

The one to sign on to this site. It's all sorted now thank you, well thanks to uncle Grumpy actually. You don't have to be clever to know that ctrl+v = paste do you, it's just something you remember or you dont! My memory is not so good these days but thank goodness I have not lost the ability to treat others with respect.

This is not a "site" it's a horrible web interface to a global Usenet
Newsgroup.....
Sorry you have lost me. If you think it' so horrible, why do you bother to
take part!

The "site" is only one way (and a not very good one) to access Usenet.
You can also use a newsreader such as Outlook Express or Thunderbird.

I don't use the web interface - I use a newsreader like most of the
"regulars" around here....

Ctrl-V is a standard shortcut across the windows environment for pasting.
Ctrl-C is copy, Ctrl-X is cut, Ctrl-V is paste. Works in almost all
programs, so there is nothing fancy about it.

You are using the web interface to access these newsgroups. What you might
not know is these are actually Usenet newsgroups, not forums. The web
interface is awful. It is much better to use a newsreader to access
newsgroups. XP comes with Outlook Express which can be setup for newsgroup
access. Here is a link on how to do that. Try it, you will find, after
learning how things work, which isn't too hard in OE, that the experience is
much, much better.

http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm

There is a separate newsgroup for outlook express questions.

Outlook Express Newsgroup on the Web:

In a newsreader:
