lost password w. no password restore disk

hi, what happens if you cannot remember your administrator password but have no password restore disk? is there any way to get into Windows? I am concerned because the computer in question has a lot of files on it that I would hate to be lost permanently, and would like to be able to sign back onto the computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Don't forget to check for the virus W32Beagle.M@mm. I
have a client's maching I'm working on and he had the
same issue, sorry the problem is not yet resolved.

Hi Amy,
Follow the thread on Admin Catch 22.There are ways to do a
reset of the Admin password.I don't want to change mine
because my laptop is company owned and network changes may
require the original password.

If you do not want to pay, you can do a side by side installation in order
to retrieve it. Let me know if you want to full documentation, and which
e-mail to send it to. You will have to be patient, since I am leaving for
CeBit today and will be back next week.
