lost outlook today when importing pst from outlook 2002 to 2003

When I click on "personal folders" or the outlook today toolbar button I get
a personal folders page that looks like my inbox with no messages (in other
words no Outlook Today). I tried restoring defaults on the home page tab in
properties and I have tried setting a new home page, but each time I open the
tab back up nothing I set is there anymore. Is this because I am using a
2002 pst file instead of a 2003? I use outlook today all the time and won't
be happy without it. Any help?

The PST files are perfectly compatible.
Importing is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data.
Provide more detail on what you actually did and how your current profile is
configured with respect to Outlook Data Files. It sounds like you may have
more than data file in this profile. Do you?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I have an Exchange Server account and a POP3
(earthlink) account in this profile. I download files to my pst file and do
not save them on the exchange server. I realized after importing the pst
file that it was not the correct way to do it, but everything is working the
way I want it with the exception of outlook today. To give you more detail
on how I migrated my data; I created a backup of my 2002 pst file using
SyncBack on my network drive and then imported the file using the
import/export file command to 2003 on my new laptop.

Rather a different story.
I have no idea then.
Every Exchange Administrator I know shoots users who use PST files in
their profile.

REcheck your profile to ensure you have the delivery set to the correct set
of personal folders. Also, does Outlook Today show if you click on the Root
of the Exchange store?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Rusty asked:
