lost outlook express files & address book

the day after doing some type of XP update, teh security
system detected a "trojan worm", cleaned it/deleted it,
and then my "outlook express" was EMPTY!

How can I retrieve all my outlook express file folders
and address book?

by the way, the system had also reconfigured it
to 'hotmail' so I couldn't receive my emails
from "comcast", until my dh fixed that.

Is the new microsoft security center then check help
there, or if its your virus protection provider, check
virus reports or activity logs. As far outlook express,

I can't tell you exactly what's caused your address book to dissapear. But if
it's still arroung somewhere, it's normally called username.wab (in XP). open
my computer and right click on drive C:, then choose search and all files and
folders. Try searching for *.wab and open anything you find. With a bit of
luck, they'll be a backup or old version knowcking arround that you can
reinstate.
