Lost one user account after XP 2 update

I have two users accounts on this computer. After
installing the Service Pack 2 update under one user
account, I find that the other user's account
configuration has been deleted. The users name is still
there to log into but the account behaves as if its a
newly created account. My desktop is back to the newly
created account, I have to reconfigure my email accounts,
all passwords and cookies are gone. All files under
documents and setting are gone. Anyone had this problem?
BTW, the user account that did the update has not been
affected. both accounts have admin access.

The word is that when service pack 2 has been installed,
it causes no end of problems with spyware and computor
crashes. In one of my groups 6 members have had hugh
problems and pc crashes after installing service pack 2.
We have also had problems including xp uninstalling
itself! we have done nothing but sort out these probs for
three weeks.
