Lost Network

Since installing service pack 2 for XP Pro, I have lost my
home network. I have a laptop and desktop connected
through a hub (also a wireless point). I am unable to
access either machine from the other. I can ping the
desktop by IP from the laptop but not by name (host not
found), nor can the laptop ping itself by either ip
address (timed out) or host name (not found).

The desktop can ping itself by either host name or IP
address, but can not ping the laptop by either.

Any ideas? I wonder if it might be a issue with the
firewall in with XP? I have turned it off for a test and
it doesn't seem to change this problem.

Can anyone provide some help on this issue? Thanks.

.
It turns out my Norton Internet Firewall was enabled, as
well as the Windows firewall, and it was disguising the
drive. When I turned it off, everything began to work ok.
