Really hoping someone can help me out with the following:
About every hour or so I lose my network connection. The only way I can
regain my connection is going into the control panel > network
connection > disable LAN connection and then enable LAN connection.
This always works but is a real hassle, the connection will constantly
fail right in the middle of large downloads.
I thought for sure this was a hardware problem, new NIC card, new
router, no router (straight from cable modem), new modem, new cables.
SAME PROBLEM!!!!!! I have made sure to disable the "power management"
feature on the NIC card, still no go.
I am dying here. . . really hope someone much smarter than I can figure
this out. I am running Windows XP Media Center edition, have all the
latest patches for windows and all firware updates for hardware.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Justin
