lost my Quick Launch "Desktop Shortcut" icon

I deleted my quick launch "Desktop" shortcut icon by
accident today. For the life of me I can't remember how
to put a new one in my quick launch tool bar. I looked
in C:Windows to make a new shortcut but all that's there
is a "desktop.ini" file. Same thing in
C:\Windows\System32 except there I also have
a "Desktop.cpl." But that just takes me to the "Display
Properties" window.

I have tried for quite some time to restore this shortcut
but can't remember how. Please help if you can. I use
that shortcut all the time!
