Lost Microsoft Welcome Screen?

I'm trying to reactivate the Welcome Screen when you open Microsoft XP, but
I'm having problems.

I get a pop up window saying
A recently installed program has disabled the Welcome Screen and Fast User
Switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall the program. The
following file name might help you identify the program that made the change.
C:\WINDOWS\WlanGINA\Version\1.0.4.0\WlanGINA.dll

Problem is, That's just an application helper sort of file, isn't it? I
don't want to upright delete it, especially if that might screw up the
application that it's supporting. Any help?

This is a reference to a D-Link wireless adapter. See the following link:

You may need to run the driver without the utility. Make sure you have the
latest software and driver for your adapter.
