Lost Messages when Compacting Inbox

In Outlook Express 6.0 I compacted the Inbox. This completed successfully,
but then seemingly returned an empty Inbox, i.e all messages appear to be
lost. Is there any way of recovering this?

You could have set it to 'view unread messages.'

Had a look at this and it is set to 'View All Messages'. Any Ideas ? Thanks.

No, without a backup of all the DBX files, Inbox.dbx is not recoverable.

Mark. Thanks for responding. At least I backed up the dbx about a week ago!
