Lost JPG option

I have recently lost the jpg option when saving a
picture. The only file format available is bitmap. Many
times trying to save a jpg file, the save as only has
bitmap. This is a new problem ans restoring my system to
an earlier date works for a few minutes.

I hope someone has a solution.
