Lost Internet connection

My system suddenly fails to connect to the internet. It
still connects to my server hub and can map network drives
so the NIC card appears to be functioning. The ping
command responds correctly on both the feedback loop and
the host ping. I have done a full system antivirus scan
and that is negative. I have not enabled the XP firewall.
Any ideas?
 
If this is a recent issue, you might try using System Restore to take you
back to a time prior to when you had this problem. Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
