Lost identity

My PC suddenly reboot.
I am the only user, without login but for the last weeks for some reasons it
was changed to login without password.
Now I got a errormessage I do not remember, some file for my idenity was
damaged and XP started with a tempoary identity without possibility to save
anything.
I rebooted the system again, hoping that XP should start as usual but it was
gone everything of my settings, e-mails, my programs, my desktop.

I cant find anything missing or damaged in that folder documents and
settings so I hope there must be a way to recover these settings.
If someone can please tell me how to do it.

Those advices must have been written by people who do not use XP.
All personal settings was lost, I have worked day/night to get it back.

If I had just reinstall XP as usual it had been finished by now.

All keys to programs I have paid for.

All this work just for one single corrupted file.

Thanks Microsoft for that.
