lost hardware

Today I lost all contact with my printers, camera and scanner. Also my
network connections. I was able to get internet connection back but I cannot
reconnect hardware. When I got to add hardware I get no response. Any
suggestions?

tried system restore but could only restore today not previous even though
system restore was on. Thanks for the response.

Sounds like the hardware you mention might be USB connected. You can try
disconnecting them all and then rt click
MyComputer>select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>USB Controllers. rt
click on each one and choose Uninstall.
Restart and let XP reinstall them. Reconnect your USB Hardware.
