lost graphics

I recently reloaded win 98 Vers 2, and after I did so I
noticed that I had lost all graphics on websites. In lieu
of web page grpahics I now have a small square. Inside the
square is a smaller red square, a blue circle and a blue
triangle, which seems to be some basic ms symbol?. I
checked on recent updates for IE6 and seem to have all
updates ok. Any body know how I can get graphics back?

Go to Start | Run and type

regedit

and press <Enter>. Navigate to these two keys

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel

and delete SecChangeSettings in the right pane (or set it to 0).

In lieu of web page grpahics I now have a small square.
Inside the square is a smaller red square, a blue circle
and a blue triangle

It could be something as simple as you accidentally toggling
Show Pictures
(Options, Advanced tab, Multimedia section)

If you have the IE5 Web Accessory Toggle Images.exe
and it happens to be the only shortcut which starts with T
in your Links folder, that "accidentally" could have been
as easy as this: Alt-a,L,T
