lost global address list

Steve

Hi

We are using Outlook 2003 to connect to exchange server V5.5

Sometime our users lost the global contact list when they click the To
buttom when sending out email. The user must close the outlook 2003 and run
it again, then the global address list will be there again.

Anyone can help me to slove this problem ?

Thanks a lot

Hold CTLR and then click on the Outlook icon in the Notification Are. Click
connection status to see to what doamin controller they are connected and
the statistics behind it. See if it alway happens with the same DC. When the
connection to that DC goes down the will also lose the GAL connection.

Ah, NT4.0 that is different since there is no AD. Check the connecting
status to see what server is being used for the address book (that should be
your Exchange server) and check the statistics.
