lost folder while moving it

I tried dragging and dropping a folder from one disk to another and the
folder has disappeared. Can I get it back? (The Help files say that dragging
from one disk to another copies folders rather than moving them, so I
shouldn't have 'lost' the folder). H
 
Thanks - I finally found it - I forgot I'd assigned it as 'Hidden' - maybe
that's why it appeared to disappear. Cheers
 
Didn't know about Ctrl+Z - cheers! FOund it under Hidden files using Search
as you suggested (I forgot it was hidden, but still don't understand why it
seemed to disappear)

Possibly when moving it, you lost the files extension ? I've lost many files
with XP pro that way. Not sure what causes it other than a slippery mouse
button.
