lost files

i wonder if anyone can help .... i had a system restore and forgot to back-up
my pictures ... can i get them back and if so how

Hi

System Restore doesn't monitor data files. So your pictures should still be
on your hard disk/partition. Have you searched for the pictures by
extension?

Hello,

Go back into System Restore and undo last restoration, save your files and
then re-restore you computer. Rather round about but it should work.

Do you know which folder they should be in? If so, check in that folder. I
can't why they would have been moved/deleted.

Pictures come in different formats.. bmp is one.. jpg is another.. there are
more..

So in the search box, you would type *.jpg

The * symbol is a wildcard character which will allow the search to include
all files of the type jpg..

Typing *.bmp would find all files that are saved in the bmp format..
