Lost Favorities List

For no apparent reason my Favorites list is gone. I don't recall doing
anything to cause this to happen. I am using IE 6. Can anyone help?

1. Do you have a directory c:\windows\favorites ?
If not, you can create one by the usual method.
2. Contents of the FAV list appear mostly in URL format --
so you can search all C: for *.URL and see whether you
find a likely-looking group filed together.
