lost .dbx files

OK, so i am stupid, but I did not back up my outlook express files before
upgrading to vista home premium.

I kinda expected them to be automatically migrated. Now I find that some
important emails in my inbox and sent box are required and do not seem to be
on the hard drive - not as .dbx files anyway. So what has vista done with
them? How can I retrieve them? Please help.

See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 Search for *.dbx and do an Advanced search
and include hidden files and folders. Also make sure under Tools | Options
| View (in Explorer) that you have viewing hidden files enabled. Once you
find them (hopefully) then you can import them. See

Thanks Steve (for working on Good friday!) I will try this but have done a
search for .dbx files and nothing showed! - Did read a blog somewhere that
vista had a bug and quarantined them? Raymondo

If so, look in there for your old files.
