Lost Cut/Copy and Paste

All of a sudden my computer will no longer to Cut/Copy or Paste.

I have tried using the W2K disk to do a repair and have also tried
re-installing IE 6.x.

What else can I do to fix this?

Checked for Viruses? I think blaster for example disables the ability to cut and paste.

I have followed the instructions in the previous post.

The removal tool claims the virus is NOT present. Still copy and
paste does not work properly.

Addendum: I can copy and paste one object at at time, but I cannot
copy and paste multiple objects.
