lost contacts folder

I have lost my contact folder, I can open it in a new windows but does not
appears in the contacts folder. How can I restore it,

contacts folder in a new window but not in the left panel like I used to

The "Contacts Panel" means what?
How are you opening your Contacts Folder, then?
What does your Folder hierarchy show?

I am running Outlook 2003. Left part of the screen is what I am calling
panel. I right click on the contacts tab and select "Open in New Windows".
Before I have a contact link in the panel for contacts, when I click on this
link I get all the contacts in the right window.

Odd. Any idea how this happened?
Please use the Folder list view to see your actual Folder hierarchy. See if
you have more than one Contacts Folder in your profile.
