lost color

Once again my HP Envision with Windows XP has lost its
reds. Can anyone help? I have defragmented and done
everything I know. HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

pin 1 on the vga cable - bent, broken, short or loose

Not necessarily, it could also be a loose pin on the back of the CRT.
