Lost CD Key

M

Mike

I have had to replace my son's hard drive and can not
find the cd key for his XP Home. It was purchased a few
years ago and registered/authorized and everything is
legit. Is there a way to get the key or a replacement
from Microsoft?

Thanks.

If you can put the old drive back long enough to get it to boot, then
you can use the free Everest Home edition from

which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Operating System
- Operating System page will tell you the one used
