lost bookmarks

Running XP. I went to manage bookmarks and created folders to hold all of
mine. I did not touch the rest of the "unfoldered" bookmarks that belonged to
my wife.

When she got on the computer a day later my folders were there but all her
loose bookmarks had disappeared. Naturally, it was "my" fault and she is
quite upset.

HELLLLP!

Thanks for whatever you all can do.

What application did you "manage bookmarks" in?

Windows XP doesn't natively come with any application I know of that you can
"manage bookmarks" in.
Internet Explorer has "Favorites" and "Organize Favorites" - and that seems
similar to what you are describing.
Mozilla and offshoots call them "bookmarks" and have "manage bookmarks" in
their menus...

Are you asking how to recover the lost bookmarks?
You probably cannot.
