Lost background colors

We have a user who's computer appeared to crash (possibly
an Active Desktop crash) and now when she opens IE, the
background is all white and everything looks funky.

We've looked through all the settings we can find in the
Internet Options section and can't find anything that
relates to background colors. This is also the only
application in which this happens.

Any ideas?

Is it the Desktop that's white? That's normal. There should be a link
on that white background to allow her to indicate when she wants to resume
Active Desktop mode.

If it is only the background of her IE windows which is white
that sounds like someone (or something) has fiddled with the
Accessibility setting for Color and checked
Ignore colors specified on Web pages
(Alt-T,O,Alt-e,c)
