Lost All Desktop Icons in XP Pro

I don't know what I did, but suddenly all of my desktop
icons are gone from the desktop, although they are in the
desktop folder in Windows XP Pro. I have tried copying
them from that folder to the actual desktop, but no
luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try this

Right click on your desktop go to Arrange Icons By / Select Show Desktop
Icons.
