Lost administrator privileges

I am no longer able to install new hardware, always
getting "....log on as an administrator.." even if I log
on as Administrator. I have also tried to create a new
profile with admin rights, but still get the same message.
Anyone who can help? Lost rights, but still
administrator...

Possibly someone has removed the Administrator account from the
Administrator group. See if you have any accounts with Administrator
privileges in Computer Management. If not, in a worst case you may have to
reinstall, but there are several steps to take before that.
