Lost admin password

I have a laptop of a small business that had an employee
leave the company and never gave the administrator
password for the laptop. Is there a way to change the
admin password without rebuilding the system? No one else
has admin privileges on it. Thnaks for any help.

I would say that it is VERY unusual for an employee (unless a member of the
IT Dept) to have the Administrator log-in on a machine!
Are you sure you are trying to log-in as "The" Administrator and not as a
User with Administrator Rights?

You'll have to hack the security account database.
