Please reply to (e-mail address removed). I have a stand
alone PC, (non-networked) that I don't have the
administrator password. The employee was dismissed and
didn't give it to me. How or what do I need to do to
reset the admin password? Is there a trick or will I
have to reinstall Windows 2000? If I install Win2k, will
I lose all the data on the hard drive? Thanks for your
help.

Hi

http://securityadmin.info/faq.htm#password

in news:[email protected]:
So will the SpamBots. And Worm viruses. NEVER post your
real e-mail address in usenet.

Maybe Larry's college (.edu) has some stupdenous spam filtering that the
rest of us don't know about. ;)

Larry needs to look into using disposable webmail accounts or using
e-mail aliases.

After you have the machine up and running again, spend
ten seconds in planning ahead: Create a second admin
account on each and every machine so that you're never
again at the mercy of disgruntled staff.
