My virus program identified one of my font files as having
a virus and quarantined it. I left it that way for
several months as I thought a quarantined file was not
able to be accessed by the computer. Last week I deleted
the file (thinking I must not be using it) and discovered
that that font is the one my home page (Yahoo)uses to
display most everything. It's been replaced by a tiny
almost unreadable font. How do I get my font back?

You'll need to find the font and reinstall it. Where did you get it in
the first place?

By the way, I'm fairly sure that fonts can't be infected by viruses, nor
can they be "quarantined" and still be used. Right now I'd be skeptical
about the effectiveness of your anti-virus program.

Thanks, Gary. I thought that was very strange also but I
use Norton Antivirus which I thought was pretty good. The
file was definitely in my "quarantine" list. I don't know
the name of the deleted font so I guess I'll install
several that aren't on my current list and hope I hit it.
(unless someone knows which font Yahoo primarily uses on
its homepage to display the list of news titles).
Thanks again, Bonnie

The font on Yahoo's home page looks like Arial to me, although there may
be some other fonts used as well. These are the Arial fonts on my system.
If any are missing from your system, you should be able to replace them
from your install CD.
