Can anyone help me to recover my Harddrive.
I shut down one evening and in the morning on bootup it informed me that i
didn't have a Harddrive on the computer. I had XP Pro on it and had just
upgraded to SP2
There is a lot of info on it i would like to recover.
I have checked the Bios and no Harddrive is listed.
I have installed a new one so that i can access the internet but i have a
web site that i want to update which is on the other one.

If your BIOS can not "see" the hard drive, it either came loose from
the ide cable (not likely) or the drive is defective. Try moving it
to another machine if possible to determine if the drive is indeed
dead. If the drive turns out to be dead, you may be able to reclaim
your data by using a data recovery service. Some people have stated
that Ontrack is a good service to use. I have no personal experience
with any data recovery service. I might add that data recovery can
be very expensive.

Or the power cable is loose.
