I have a HP 8665c which came with W98 installed. After a
surge through my modem killed my OS, I had W2K installed.
I recently tried to copy data onto a cd and recieved
an "access is denied" message. While troubleshooting, I
uninstalled the drivers and cannot reinstall them.

You can't "copy" data to your CD under Win2000, unless you
first format the CD with some proprietary program such as
In-CD or Direct-CD. They come with your CD burner program.
