Losing sequence of entries on Quicklink menu

Each time XP reboots the sequence of my Quicklink menu changes.

For some reason, all entries with the same starting letter get
grouped together. Other entries *seem* (it's hard to say) to stay
in the order I left them in.

Can I prevent this?

Right-click a blank area of the taskbar and make sure the lock is unchecked.
Right-click a blank area of the taskbar and press Properties.
Uncheck the Group Similar Taskbar buttons.
Press Apply and Ok.
Right-click a blank area of the taskbar and check the lock.

Jerold, I actually want to have similar taskbar buttons grouped
together. The issue I have got is to do with the entries in the
Quicklaunch menu.

They are the ones which seem to get resequenced.

I think this might be happening because I have gone into the folder
for Quicklaunch and selected a sort based on "Name".

QUESTION: Is there any way I can have the Quicklaunch folder
unsequenced so that the menu is able to use the last positions I
put the items into?
