Losing past dates and times when changing reoccurances. HELP!!!!!!

On the calendar I put a series of events in reoccuring over a period of
months. There were times when the event was changed and so I manually made
the change on that occurance only. When I decided to end that series of
events, the computer took all the exceptions and changed them back to what
should have been instead of stopping the reoccuring event and leaving the
exceptions in place. When I make a change to a reoccuring event, how do I
stop it from changing all of the past appointments to the new time? I only
want the changes to take place from a certain date/ time forward. I just
erased several months of past appointments when I changed the reoccurance
time and date. Now I have no way to view the history of my past appointments
because they have all been moved to the new series schedule. Any information
would be helpful.

Have had the same problem and lost information that was needed. Any help
