Losing images in MS word

J

jsnlouis

I love placing images in my MS word documents. Unfortunately, I only
get half the image or I am unable to see the images all together when
I place them in the document. I can see the black outline of the
picture and I know that they are there cause, when I scroll over the
images, scrolling gets slow and I can also see the images in the print
preview.

I need help with this MS Word 2003 anomaly

What is the state of the checkbox "Picture placeholders" under
Tools>Options>View>Show?

It should be unchecked if you want to see the pictures in the document

First go to Tools > Options > View and make sure that "Drawings" is checked
and "Picture placeholders is not checked.

If that doesn't solve the problem, you may have an overworked video driver.
In Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot, try moving
the hardware acceleration slider to the left. If that helps, then look for a
newer video driver at the manufacturer's web site.
