We have two machines running XP. Both have display settings issues.
With the Dell laptop, we set the display resolution lower and all is well. At some point, apparently after coming out of standby, the resolution will return to the highest setting.
With the second machine, a deskstation, when we reboot, the screen goes into 16:9 mode although the monitor is 4:3. If we make a change to the settings, e.g. change the resolution and then cancel, it goes into 4:3 mode until rebooted.
Does anyone have an idea? I have searched all over Microsoft's Knowledge base.
