losing custom animation when copying..

I'm refreshing the data source for graphs on my slides (from MS Access) and
building a new presentation (and viewing) in VBA, but the custom animation
from the source PPT I build from does not carry to the new .ppt file.
any ideas?

Better start by explaining how you're building the new slides and in what
version of PPT.
