losing connection every few minutes

I just did a complete hardrive restore with the laptop IBM on-board tool. Am
up and running...except I lose my wireless connection every few minutes. I
get message on toolbar telling me there are connections to choose from..I
click it , reconnect and am good to go ..for a few minutes. In fact this is
second time i am posting this. Any ideas?
 
Check the Authentification Tab on the Local Area Connection for the
Ethernet based connection. Uncheck/Untic the Enable IEEE 802.1x
Check box.
