I have a user that will be working in a program...does not matter if its
word, as400 or typing an address into IE...and the window will go gray...lose
the active window status. We have to click back into the program and make it
active again. after a minute of so, it will happen again.

I downloaded Spybot and ran it, but that didn't help.
I've checked the keyboard settings and mouse settings, and can find nothing
that would be causing it.

I am having the same problem except the screen does not go grey but the
border around the window changes to a light blue, and the curser position
dissappears. It is very aggravating. When I click anywhere within the
window, it becomes active again,I believe it started doing this after I
updated to SP2.

Hi Susan,

Did you ever get your problem fixed, If you did, I would appreciate a
message telling me what you did. Mine is still screwed up and I hate to
reboot to fix it.

Thanks,
Charlie

You may have something running off-screen. Look at the taskbar for an
unknown icon, rightclick 'restore' it, and then press alt-spacebar, M,
up-arrow , and move the mouse, to make it appear.
