Lose picture quality when dragging photographs into video track??

I've scanned some pictures that I'm trying to make a video of. However, when I drag them from collections to the story board portion of the video track they go fuzzy and lose a lot of clarity. Is there a way to make a movie with my photos while keeping the original clarirty of when they were scanned?

DVD quality is 640x480.... so it might be less than your scanned images.

But the preview phase of the projects is at 320x240.... a good bit less than
the finished product from the rendering process.

Maybe PhotoStory is a better option if you're not using video clips.

thanks for the help... is photostory another program or another option in windows movie maker? If another program, can I just download it or do I need to buy it? If part of windows movie maker, how do I access it?

Photo Story 2 is part of Plus! which is available for purchase. With Photo
Story you can turn your photos into exciting photo stories by narrating the
pictures, adding background music, and creating special panning and zooming
effects. Photo Story is very useful for convert a set of photos into Windows
Media Media which can then be imported into Movie Maker and combined with
video clips.
