Loose mouse over text!

I have Vista and Office 2007. When in my browser or MS Word, the mouse
disappears over the text! I cannot highlight unless guessing, and when i go
to the "word Options" it will not let me get plast the "popular" tab.

I have checked the mouse in the control panel, and it is working properly.
it works fine in MS Publisher text boxes.

Can you explain what you mean by it not letting you get past the Popular tab
in Word Options? Is everything else disabled, or do you get an error when
you click on other tabs?
