I am using Excel from Office XP, version 10.0.4302.0.
I am trying to use the LOOKUP function to return a fee or rebate valu
(in dollars) based on a fuel economy (MPG) differential of positive o
negative value (anywhere from 0 to +/- 250)
The problem I am having is that the LOOKUP function won't return th
correct value from the cell containing the MPG differential when tha
cell contains a simple subtraction function. If I replace the simpl
subraction function with its resultant value, the LOOKUP function work
fine.
I don't want to have to manually paste new MPG differentials everytim
I change them so that the LOOKUP function can process the values. I
there fuction that will paste the MPG values into new cell
automatically? Or is there some way to write the LOOKUP function t
enable it to handle cell references to cells containing fuctions? Ar
there other answers I haven't even mentioned.
Any and all help greatly appreciated!
